About us
An open, honest database of the real-world power draw of mini PCs, firewalls and single board computers for home labs.
Our mission
If you build a home lab with Proxmox, Home Assistant or OPNsense, the box runs 24/7: what matters is not the CPU's TDP but how many watts the system pulls at the wall and what that means for your electricity bill. Those numbers are scattered across reviews, forums and datasheets. We collect them in one place, with a source for every value.
How we work
- Cited sources. Every measured value links to its source: wall-meter reviews (ServeTheHome, Notebookcheck, CNX Software…), manufacturer datasheets and the open SolvoHQ homelab-mini-pc-dataset (CC BY 4.0).
- Labelled estimates. When no measurement exists, we estimate from the CPU class, calibrated against measured models, and flag it with an Estimate label.
- Corrections welcome. Measured your own mini PC with a power meter? Send us the reading and your configuration and we will update the page.
How we fund the site
The site is free and has no intrusive ads. Some Amazon links are affiliate links: if you buy, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect the data. More in our affiliate disclosure.
