Mounting & usage guide
Mounting
- Footprint 155 × 127 mm, 53 mm tall (about 1.04 litres).
- Supports VESA mounting: fix it to a wall or under a shelf near your modem and switch, with the network ports facing down or sideways for easier cabling.
- When VESA-mounted, keep the vents clear: leave at least 1-2 cm between the case and the monitor.
Cooling & heat
- Fanless aluminium case: the chassis is the heatsink and can feel hot to the touch in continuous use, which is normal.
- Avoid closed cabinets without airflow; when lying flat, leave a few cm above the fins.
- Clean dust from the vents every 6-12 months to keep temperatures and power draw low.
Recommended use cases
- OPNsense or pfSense firewall/router: 6x 1GbE to split WAN, LAN and VLANs.
- Always-on Home Assistant: at about 7 W idle it is cheap to run 24/7.
- Proxmox VE with several VMs and LXC containers: up to 64 GB RAM.
